1. Introduction

Welcome to Christian Story Steward ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Christian Story Steward web application and related services operated by RubyRoad.ai LLC. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Christian Story Steward is an AI-powered book evaluation tool designed for Christian school librarians, teachers, and homeschool parents. The Service analyzes children's and young adult books against a biblical worldview framework and provides evaluation reports including content ratings, grade-level recommendations, and source references.

Christian Story Steward provides AI-generated book analysis intended to support, not replace, professional librarian judgment. Your school or institution is solely responsible for all book selection decisions.

3. User Accounts

To access the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Promptly update your information if it changes
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Not share your account credentials with unauthorized individuals

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

4. Subscriptions & Payment

The Service is offered through subscription plans with varying evaluation limits and features. Subscription details, including pricing and features, are displayed on our pricing page and may be updated from time to time.

• Free Trial: New users may receive a free trial period. Trial terms are displayed at the time of registration.
• Billing: Subscriptions are billed annually. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store credit card information on our servers.
• Renewals: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.
• Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. If you cancel, you will retain access through the end of your current billing period.
• Grace Period: If a payment fails, a grace period may apply before your account access is restricted.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The evaluations provided are based on publicly available book reviews and AI analysis. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any evaluation.

Evaluation reports are generated using artificial intelligence language models that analyze publicly available book reviews, publisher information, and other online sources. While we strive for accuracy and biblical faithfulness, you should be aware that:

• AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
• Evaluations reflect analysis of available sources at the time of generation and may not capture all aspects of a book
• Biblical interpretation and application may vary among Christian traditions
• Confidence scores indicate the quality and quantity of available sources, not guaranteed accuracy
• The Service does not replace reading the book yourself or consulting with qualified educators and ministry leaders

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by RubyRoad.ai LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written permission.

Evaluation reports generated through the Service are provided for your internal educational use. You may share individual reports within your school or organization but may not redistribute them commercially or in bulk.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CHRISTIAN STORY STEWARD AND RUBYROAD.AI LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated evaluations
• Book selection decisions made based on evaluation reports
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any third-party conduct on the Service

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may cancel your subscription and close your account at any time through your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

• You violate these Terms
• Your payment method fails and is not updated
• We determine that your use of the Service is harmful or fraudulent
• We decide to discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice)

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. We may retain your data for a reasonable period as required by law or legitimate business purposes.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in Collin County, Texas.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by email or through a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
